It's a problem that faces almost all of us--the battle with weight. No, not around the midsection but on the airport baggage scales.

It's almost impossible to see the world on a 20-kg. limit for bags and 7 kg. for carry-on. However, one traveler found a novel loophole in the system. A scuba diver, he was faced with a serious weight problem on a flight from Perth to Cocos Island in the Indian Ocean, which is at the limit of the range of the BAe 146 that was to take him there.

Laden down with wetsuit, flippers and empty but weighty oxygen tanks, the passenger was alarmed to find that he was way over the weight limit. This meant a hefty excess baggage bill that would wipe out all his spending money. …
