The carrier completed moving its hub last autumn from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport to Wilmington, Ohio, where it now operates alongside fellow DHL Worldwide Express subservice flier ABX Air. DHL inherited the Wilmington hub when it acquired most of Airborne Express in 2003 and decided to consolidate all its contract air operations at one site.

While Astar, formerly DHL Airways, generates most of its business from DHL, it is working to build up non-DHL services and moves mail for the US Postal Service, operates cargo flights for the US military and provides some services for cargo brokers and airfreight forwarders. …
