Based in Wilmington, Ohio, and operating a fleet of 112 cargo aircraft, ABX is the largest airline serving DHL's express operations in the US. It has talked of building up non-DHL operations, but DHL services accounted for all but $8.4 million of its $369.2 million in revenues for the 2006 first quarter. It did post a 14% profit increase in the quarter to $8.1 million.

ABX said its failure to reach certain revenue incentives under a Hub Services Agreement with DHL was the principal cause of an 18% drop in annual net profit in 2005 to $30.3 million from $37 million in 2004.
