If Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal looks in his rearview mirror, he is likely to see beer baron Vijay Mallya closing fast. The colorful chairman and CEO of Kingfisher Airlines and chairman of parent UB Group has set a goal of achieving a 15% share of the Indian domestic market this year. Although this may seem a bit presumptuous given that Kingfisher celebrated its first birthday in May, it would be a mistake to underestimate Mallya, whose ability to capture headlines and media attention for his airline recalls Richard Branson.
