Aer Lingus CEO Willie Walsh, CFO Brian Dunne and COO Seamus Kearney were set to step down at the end of Jan., much earlier than originally planned, after lawmakers in Ireland accused the group of having conflicts of interest. The executives, who masterminded the carrier's turnaround, had planned to leave in May. However, lawmakers sought their immediate resignations after Irish media reported that the trio planned to launch a new low-cost carrier in Ireland. They were to leave Jan. 28.

Walsh denied accusations of conflict of interest, saying he has been focused completely on his responsibilities at the airline. …
