ATLANTA--Hartsfield International Airport's new int'l concourse is on track for completion in April, 1994. The $300 mrlion complex will be the fffth in a series of parallel midfield concourses linked by underground raftroad to the main terminal. Construction of the concourse is based on a projected growth to 907,000 flight operations per year, or 2,300 per day, handling more than 63 million passengers per year by 2001.

The original four concourses are for domestic trallic. The current int'l concourse is connected to the main terminal hails and generally will be used for domestic traffic once the new concourse opens.

The airport already is the fourth-busiest in the U.S., both in passengers and flight operations. Worldwide, it ranks as the fourthbusiest in operations with 589,470 last year, and sixth in passengers with 37.9 million.

Traffic at Hartsfield dropped 20% after Eastern Airlines folded. …
