Ryanair to add IFE.(Brief Article)

Ryanair, which in recent months has mulled charging passengers to check luggage and negotiated with Boeing to remove "nonessentials" from 737-800s currently on order--including reclining seats, window shades, headrests and seat pockets--nevertheless intends to offer its customers inflight entertainment.

The airline has ordered APS digEplayer 5500 portable units that feature video on demand as well as television shows, cartoons, videos and music choices. Ryanair will field-test them beginning Nov. 1 and depending on the results will equip its entire 737-800 fleet. …
