Aer Lingus brings LCC pricing to the transatlantic.(Brief Article)

The long-anticipated entry of low-fare competition on the transatlantic began on Sept. 27 as a transformed Aer Lingus unveiled a new fare structure with lower prices and fewer restrictions for travel between the US and Ireland.

One-way economy fares have been capped at $503, reduced from $803 previously. Premier business class fares likewise were reduced 40%-60% depending on the route. Restrictions such as a Saturday night stay requirement and minimum stay have been removed and Aer Lingus is embracing one-way pricing. …
