Republic poised to fly 170s for United.(Regional News)(Brief Article)

Republic Airways Holdings, parent company of Chautauqua Airlines and Republic Airlines, expects to have its first two Embraer 170s in service for United Express by the end of the month and hopes to have all of the aircraft move to Republic Airlines without any interim flying at Chautauqua. However, that outcome will depend on the final certification date for Republic.

Warren Wilkinson, VP-Marketing for Republic Airways Holdings, told ATW the 170s will be painted in United's livery and configured with six first-class, 16 Economy Plus and 40 coach seats. Republic Holdings has 22 firm orders for Embraer 170s valued at $100 million. Chautauqua operates a fleet of 94 ERJs on more than 585 daily flights to 70 cities in 31 states, Canada and the Bahamas under marketing agreements with United, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and US Airways. …
