AACI hits its stride. (Airports Association International)

GENEVA--The advantage for the airports of the world in having a single organization to represent them is becoming evident as the Airports Association International (AACI) gets into its stride. AACI was established last year to replace the Aiport Operators Council International, the International Civil Airports Association and the body that coordinated the activities of these two groups, the Airport Associations Coordinating Council. Headed by Director General Oris W. Dunham, Jr., formerly executive director of Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport, AACI is located in the former premises of the AACC in the terminal building of Geneva airport.

Alexander Strahl, who was executive secretary of AACC, is secretary general. Although it has formally disappeared with its integration into AACI, the Washington-headquartered AOCI has become the new association's North American regional office with Walter Burg of Tucson as chairman. …
