Now Spanish-owned, the Argentine carrier will be investing $558 million in the next five years to renew its fleet, replacing its 737-200s with 45 737-300s and 737-500s, VP Jose Maria Llodra announced in Buenos Aires earlier this year. In addition, it will acquire four used 747-400s to replace its four 747-200s. The aircraft will be leased from Pegasus and GE Capital Aviation Services and the deal does not include any new airplanes.
