In its first full business year as the low-cost airline division of the giant TUI tourism concern, Hapag-Lloyd Express booked 2.16 million seats. It operates 11 aircraft from Cologne-Bonn--which accounted for 1.45 million of its passengers--Hannover and Stuttgart.
