Chief Executive Ray Webster in May said easyJet is seeing "unprofitable and unrealistic pricing" by European airlines seeking to "grow or maintain their market share." Given this, he warned it is appropriate to be "cautious" about the airline's performance in the full financial year ending Sept. 30.

Europe's second-largest LCC posted a 19.7 million [pounds sterling] ($35.3 million) net loss for the six months ended March 31. Revenue jumped 18% driven by a 15.9% growth in passenger numbers and a 1.6% rise in average fares.

The airline started taking delivery of 120 A319s on order and had 12 operating from its bases at Geneva and London Gatwick at the end of April. …
