State-controlled CSA, a SkyTeam member, generated earnings of 4.6 million [euro] ($5.8 million) last year, according to media reports. The carrier had not made public full financial results for 2003 at this writing. It carded a record number of passengers last year, up 16.1% from 3.1 million in 2002, with a 72.7% load factor. It plans to double its fleet to 70 planes within the next 10 years.

In a major management shakeup last September, CSA's supervisory board dismissed President and CEO Miroslav Kula and virtually the entire executive leadership team, with only VP-Finance and Planning Frantisek Slaby surviving the sudden purge. …
