Virgin America to fly with A320s.(Brief Article)

Virgin's new US low-fare airline intends to begin service in mid-2005 and has ordered 11 A319s and seven A320s, plus options for an additional 72 aircraft. In addition, it will lease 15 A320s from GE Capital Aviation Services. First deliveries are scheduled for early 2005 and all aircraft will be powered by CFM56 engines.

The newly named Virgin America will make San Francisco its principal base of operations while establishing its corporate HQ across the continent in Manhattan. …
