Air Wisconsin's management decision to sell the carrier "lock, stock and Slots" to its major partner, United Airlines.

Employees are shocked and embittered by the news of immediate furloughs and further reductions to come down the fine.

Stockholders are angry at the suddenness of the action to sell the company's "undervalued" stock al approximately $8 per share.

And last but not least, Air Wisconsin's airline-served communities are concerned about the impact of such action on their future growth-and especially business and industry operations of the expanding 3county market center at Appleton. A local businessman said it well: "We've been partners in progress with our own homegrown airline for 25 years. …
