It was an innocent journey, a search to discover more about "an upscale 'girls night out'" with an airline that ended up mired in way too much information and gave us the desire to free.

The starting point was a notice that Sun Country, Airlines was flying "the first ever, onboard 'Pajama Party in the Sky," whisking 50 women over the age of 25, clad in pajamas, from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. The event was sponsored by the modestly named Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., "the nation's largest retail and entertainment complex," and Karen Neuburger, a designer specializing in, naturally, pajamas.

"Lifestyle designer Karen Neuburger took her popular pajama parties to a new level by hosting a pajama party in the sky," the notice said. …
