Reid leaves Delta for US Virgin.(Brief Article)

Delta Air Lines President and COO Fred Reid, who was passed over by that carrier's board to succeed Leo Mullin as CEO, is leaving April 1 to become CEO of Virgin's proposed US domestic low-fare carrier.

Virgin USA said Reid will oversee "all operational and executive facets" of the new airline, including its upcoming certification process. At the same time, the company appears to have delayed launch of the carrier by several months.
