El Al: israel's flag carrier was the chief beneficiary of service suspensions by other airlines after Iraq's August invasion of Kuwait. El Al ended the year with gains of 76% to 3,109,357 in passenger boardings, 69% to 13 billion in RPKs and 71.4% to 1.54 billion in FTKs.

Emirates: The Dubai-based carrier had another good year in 1990, reporting impressive growth of 25.5% to 914,935 in passengers, 25.2% to 2.3 billion in RPKs and 29.5% to 100.8 million in FTKs.

Emirates Air Services: The charter carrier serves major oil companies in Abu Dhabi with a fleet of a Dash 7, three Twin Otters and an Islander. it recently canceled an order for a Dash 8 for 1992 delivery. Its 1990 traffic results were not available. …
