United Airlines. (North America report).(UAL Corp. finances during May, 2003)(Brief Article)

United Airlines parent UAL Corp. reported a loss from operations of $155 million during the month of May but it also reported nonoperating income of $219 million that included $300 million in security fee rebates from the federal government, resulting in a net profit of $64 million.

In addition, UAL said it met the requirements of its debtor-in-possession financing in May and EBITDAR for the month of May itself was positive for the first time since it filed for Chapter 11 protection, even excluding the government assistance. …
