This capsuled view of the little-known segment of the 49th state's prime air-transport industry was offered by John Hajdukovich, the retiring 3-term president of the Alaskan Air Carriers Association. AACA is celebrating its 25th anniversary following its annual midwinter meeting in sunny Kauai, Hawaii, far from the daylong darkness and arctic winds and snow.

Hajdukovich, a native of Fairbanks, is president of Frontier Airlines, whose family-owned-and-operated business provides vital scheduled and charter air-transport to a near-dozen communities in the Fairbanks marketing area. …
