Swiss International Air Lines warned May 27 that weak passenger business will compel it to initiate additional cost cuts in coming months on top of a [euro]600 million ($712.2 million) savings plan revealed in April (ATW 6/03, p. 56).

The announcement came as Swiss reported revenues of Sfr1.04 billion and a net loss of Sfr200 million for the quarter ended Match 31. Losses were little changed from the previous year's Sfr199 million. …
