Air Pacific reported an after-tax profit of FJ$16.5 million ($8.8 million) for the financial year ended March 31, almost double last year's profit of FJ$9.7 million. Revenue improved 14.2% to FJ$407 million while costs climbed 10% to FJ$382 million. MD and CEO John Campbell said while the results were "pleasing," the airline faces "significant challenges" in the current fiscal year, including a fall in tourism that comes "at a time when Air Pacific has introduced two 747-400s, increasing capacity by 14%. …
