EU Council of Transport Ministers. (Europe Report).(Brief Article)

EU Council of Transport Ministers declined to take a position at its March meeting on the European Commission's request for a mandate to negotiate bilateral aviation agreements on behalf of the entire EU. The Council also declined to address a separate proposal from the EC to give the Commission powers to impose penalties on non-EU airlines that benefit from "unfair subsidies." The 15 ministers decided to report discussion on both proposals to the next meeting, scheduled for June. …
