Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has become the first in the country to acquire a Netras Systems mobile unit. The unit, which was designed in the Netherlands, is designed to meet the needs of personnel at operational incidents and community events by providing three chemical toilets as well as hot water hand washing facilities and space to change clothes. The pod is carried on a Renault front drive unit and has a fork type chassis. The unit is designed to be fitted out to any specification up to one and a half tons in weight, and can be 'dropped' at any suitable spot at any event.
