Due to visitor demand and to align more closely with our 100th anniversary issue, FIRE has decided to move its Centennial Conference to June 10.

Our conference is aptly entitled Creating the Climate for Change.

The FIRE Centennial Conference aims to provide practical guidance to principal fire officers, training managers and HR practitioners from the UK Fire and Rescue Service in regard to the successful implementation of a range of complementary leadership strategies within their respective brigades. Through a combination of strategically-led plenary sessions and interactive practical workshops, we aim to give our delegates the opportunity to find out more and share valuable experiences about:

* Integrated Personal Development System (IPDS)

* Transformational Leadership

* National and Executive Leadership Programme

* Cultural Change and Ethical Leadership

* Value Centred Leadership

* Managed Learning Services Project

Our speaker panel includes some of the most distinguished figures in the field of Leadership, combining those from an academic background with those of a more practical leaning. The conference programme itself draws on a range of experiences from both within and outside the Fire and Rescue Service and comprises a number of best practice case histories.

It is our intention that having attended Creating the Climate for Change our delegates will be equipped with the appropriate toolkit to integrate effective leadership strategies of their own within their workplace more easily and quickly than might otherwise have been the case. …
