Alan Doig, Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service retires after 32 years of service next month. Prior to joining Staffordshire in 1988 he served as a firefighter in Fife Fire Brigade and at both the Scottish Fire Service Training School and the Fire Service College.


Joining Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service in 1988, he was appointed to Divisional Commander in 1992 before taking up the post of Assistant Chief Fire Officer responsible for Operations in 1993. …
