Devon wins diversity award.(News)

Devon Fire and Rescue Service has collected a bronze achievement award from Race for Opportunity (RfO) for its willingness to engage black and other ethnic minority groups as part of a diverse community, potential workforce and as partners.

The RfO recognised the service's commitment to an action plan promoting the business case for race and diversity in its latest annual benchmarking exercise.

The benchmark is a self-assessment tool where organisations measure their activity across four key areas: diverse employment, marketing, engaging ethnic minority businesses, and working with minority ethnic communities.
