Firefighter's international research is recognised by royalty.(PEOPLE PROFILE)

Sabrina Cohen, a firefighter based at Cardiff Central Fire Station, paid a visit to Buckingham Palace in July to receive a medal from the Queen.

Sabrina, 23, has recently completed an international study into attacks on firefighters in order to compare ways in which the Fire Service in the UK can reduce the risk of attacks. This project was funded by the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust which offers fellowships to British Citizens to acquire knowledge and experience abroad, Her finished study also formed her dissertation for an MA in International Fire Service Development.

Over the last three years, Sabrina has visited fire and rescue services in Israel, South Africa and America to discuss the level of violence and the procedures that are in place for dealing with attacks on firefighters. …
