Examinations Board bows out.(News)

The Fire Services Examinations Board finally discharged its responsibilities for the statutory promotional examinations following the successful transfer of all whole-time candidates into the IPDS process. It is an end of an era for the FSEB who have had the responsibility for administering the statutory examinations since 1958.

David Stanley, Secretary of the FSEB, having spent 34 years in local government and the past 23 involved with the Fire Service examinations, has taken early retirement from his employers, the Local Government Employers.

The Fire Services College have agreed to hold copies of past FSEB agendas, papers and minutes as a permanent historical record of the Board's meetings. …
