UKRO Extrication Challenge & Conference 2006 Programme.

Welcome from Dave Webb (Chairman UKRO)

I am particularly proud of the programme of events for the UKRO Annual Road Safety Conference and Extrication Competition this year. This year's event is for the first time supported by the newly formed Chief Fire Officer's Association (CFOA) Road Safety Group. I am sure that our partnership with the CFOA Road Safety Group will continue to go from strength to strength and be of real benefit to fire and rescue services as well as the community we serve. I am delighted with the conference that East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have put together and would take this opportunity of thanking them for their commitment to this whole event. I am sure that those who attend will find it to be informative and of great benefit

I would like to say good luck to the teams representing fire and rescue services from all over the UK in the extrication challenge, the winner of which will represent the UK at the World Challenge in 2007. I would also wish those taking part in the Trauma Care Challenge and the Rope Rescue Challenge good tuck in their endeavours.

Finally, a big welcome to all of you that have come along to watch, enjoy and team from the skills on display over the two days of the challenge. I am sure that our bests have ensured that you will have a very interesting, informative and enjoyable time.
