Harcombe therapy is here! The new year also signified a new dawn for the Charity, as the FSNBF opened their second UK therapy centre. Here, we find out more about the new centre, and meet some of the very first members of the Fire Service community to benefit from the extended services now on offer.

Building a new therapy centre for the Charity's beneficiaries involved a great deal of research and planning--not to mention a significant fundraising effort in order to make the dream a reality. Several locations were considered for the new centre, but the findings of the FSNBF's research concluded that Harcombe House was by far the most viable and cost effective solution. The location of the centre would provide vastly improved accessibility to prospective Southern-based therapy clients, whilst also freeing up more spaces for Northern-based beneficiaries to visit the Charity's existing Jubilee Therapy Centre, in Cumbria. Harcombe's superb location, in the heart of the countryside, also promised to provide therapy clients with an environment in which to gain maximum benefit from their treatment.

Following a year of extensive planning, the centre's construction began in December 2004. …
