Half million Leonardo funding secured for diversity training: NTP, a private company, have formed a strategic partnership with the UK Fire Service and European fire service partners to bid for Leonardo da Vinci funding.(Diversity Training)

THE PROJECT HAS BEEN SET UP TO support equality and diversity training and support the Service to develop a better understanding of diversity. The project has 11 partners from six countries: Great Britain, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, Hungary and Sweden. The final training products will be available for delivery in October 2007.

The interventions will focus on the impact of diversity on the individual, the community and the organisation, and how being more aware of issues can improve the service delivery for all groups. The added value of the project is that the partners get the opportunity to share and learn from good practices with their European colleagues.

The aims of this project are to design, develop and implement interventions to promote diversity within the emergency services sector across Europe. …
