West Mids take part in deaf awareness week.(News)

West Midlands Fire Service teamed up with the BID Services with Deaf People and the National Sea Life Centre to promote safety messages as part of National Deaf Awareness Week on the first week of last month.

National Deaf Awareness Week is an annual event that promotes deafness and deaf culture across the UK, with regional organisations hosting events to raise awareness of their local deaf community.

This year BID worked in partnership with West Midlands Fire Service and the National Sea Life Centre to host a series of events from May 3-6. The first event was held in Victoria Square, Birmingham City Centre on May 3 and included fire safety demonstrations, information and advice and British Sign Language (BSL) classes. …
