Cheadle receive funding for home fire risk assessments.(News)

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service recently received a 500 [pounds sterling] grant from local councillor for Cheadle, Ted Perry to help purchase and fit more smoke alarms in the Chetley area of Cheadle.

This is the second year in which the grant has been given to the service and will go towards Cheadle carrying out the remaining 30 percent of houses requiring HFRAs (Home Fire Risk Assesments). Of the 4,000 homes in the Cheadle area 70 percent of them have already received HFRA's and been fitted with smoke alarms if required. …
