Exercise to test new risk information boxes.(News)

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has conducted a large-scale operational exercise in conjunction with Regent College in Leicester on Jury 20. The aims of the exercise are to familiarise crews with new risk information boxes and to demonstrate their effectiveness to others along with the value of adopting the boxes.

Leicestershire have developed bright red risk information boxes and are encouraging all occupiers of commercial premises to adopt their use. The boxes are designed to be placed in a prominent place near the main access to a building and are designed to contain all significant risk information needed by fire crews attending an incident at that premise. They will be secure but be readily accessible at any time of the day by a special key held by fire crews. …
