Free equality seminars.(News)

Anglia Polytechnic University's FireWorks for Equality in the Fire Service Project team, studying equality and diversity within the Fire and Rescue Service, is inviting members of the voluntary and part-time uniformed public emergency services to contribute to its study by attending some free interactive seminar sessions.

The two, one-day seminars will explore the themes of retention and promotion issues. They are aimed at female members of the voluntary and part-time uniformed public emergency services and minority ethnic members of the voluntary and part-time uniformed public emergency services. The seminars are taking place on July 18-19.

During the events, at the Gonville Hotel, Cambridge, the specialist FireWorks team will present ideas and themes on equality and diversity to people from the voluntary and part-time emergency services sector and invite discussion from the attendees on their findings and experiences within their organisations. …
