Safety first--live demonstrations on the open-air site; when visitors stream onto the open-air exhibition site at Interschutz 2005 in Hannover Germany from 6 to 11 June, they should be prepared for lots of live action--thanks to a jam-packed programme of supporting events designed to draw large crowds and appeal to every age group from junior to senior.(Interschutz 2005)(Calendar)

The idea of staging realistic accident and rescue operations at the exhibition has traditionally been realised by various organisations and institutions with the assistance of volunteers. The programme--a unique mix of exhibition, talks and lectures by experts, themed meetings and forums, plus special feature events and live demonstrations--reflects the keynotes of Interschutz: emergency and rescue services, fire prevention, disaster relief, safety and security. This year, for the first time, there will be four 'Theme Days' devoted to safety in the home, at work, at airports and in road and rail traffic.

More than 1,100 companies, professional associations and organisations are expected to take part. Interschutz will take place together with a completely new event:
