Two women die in separate fires.

Two women have died within two days after separate house fires in Cardiff.

The body of Rosemary Thomas, 48, was found at her home in the Llanrumney area after a fire broke out at about 1530.

Another woman, who has not been named, died in a blaze in the Pentwyn area, which started at 1630.

The causes are being investigated and police have appealed for anyone who saw or spoke to Mrs Thomas before her death to contact them.

Firefighters attempted to try and resuscitate Mrs Thomas after rescuing her from her three-storey terraced house. Paramedics then took over but were unable to save her. …
