As reported in the September edition of Hotline, a wider stakeholder meeting took place in late August enabling strategic and community organisations to come together. From this meeting, an opportunity has arisen for the FSC to enter into partnership with the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (NRU).

The NRU is responsible for identifying areas of deprivation in England and improving the quality of life for those communities through both urban and rural regeneration projects, thereby narrowing the gap between deprived neighbourhoods and the rest of the country.

Richard Johnes, Community Safety Tutor at the Community Safety Support Centre (CSSC) commented: "The CSSC hopes to develop and amalgamate existing and new Community Safety modules by working alongside the NRU and its current programme of Delivery Skills Training courses. …
