British Automatic Sprinkler Association.(People)

The British Automatic Sprinkler Association has appointed Ian Gough as its Technical Advisor. Ian has recently retired as Senior Fire Safely Officer with Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service. This new post will see Ian providing a range of support for BASA's activities to promote the more effective use of sprinklers in the protection.

Working with the Secretary General Stewart Kidd, Ian will also take on primary responsibility for liaison with building control professionals and with the Fire and Rescue Service Ian has substantial experience of the use of sprinklers in a wide range at properties and will be remembered by many as the brigade officer who led the Northamptonshire team in the City Logistics case

BASA's Council, making the appointment, said it was de lighted that the association will be able to use Ian's many talents tit its efforts to provide reliable and useful technical information on sprinkler systems to government, regulators, specifiers and end users. …
