Strathclyde enjoys Yellow Helmet Day.

A massive effort by all of Strathclyde's Fire Brigades raised over 30,000 [pounds sterling] for the Fund, over just two days in March, Pictured, we can see six-year-old Diane Scade helping to count some of the cash. The Yellow Helmet Day proved an enormous success, with a great response from the public helping push the total up to the final fantastic figure. The main event took place on Saturday 13th March 2004, and rain most certainly did not stop play, with the public supporting the fundraising team cheerfully and with good humour. The effort, support and goodwill from firefighters and support staff of Strathclyde was undoubtedly the magic ingredient of the days' success. Thanks to you all, and well done! …
