Inspiring bravery.

Rachel Moyes has been through lot for one so young. Diagnosed with Leukaemia in July 1997 she had to undergo treatment and regular hospital visits for the next two years. The FSNBF has been able to help support Rachel, aged nine, and her parents, Gordon and Jane, through placing her on its Young Special Needs Register and helping with vital expenditure on treatment and/or equipment.

Gordon, who served in the Fire Service for 26 years, commented: "The Fund also flew Rachel and Jane down to London to meet our son, Sam, and I with the car. Rachel was still on steroids and chemotherapy, so was not well enough to have coped with the long drive down from Edinburgh. We then spent two wonderful weeks at Marine Court together, the charity's recuperation centre in Littlehampton, West Sussex. …
