Louis Jones has been appointed Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Northern Ireland Fire Brigade. He took up his post in November 2003.

DCFO Jones joined Northern Ireland Fire Brigade in 1978 and progressed through the ranks, holding the positions of Brigade Training Officer and Area Commander for the brigade's Southern Command.

DCFO Jones completed a Master of Business Administrative Degree in 2000 and Master of Science Degree in 2002. Following completion of his Brigade Command Course in 2002, he returned to brigade headquarters dealing with operations and fire safety at Assistant Chief Fire Officer level prior to his appointment as Deputy Chief Fire Officer

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Jones is a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers, having served on the then International Council for a period of three years as regional representative for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Ireland. …
