Fire Service Youth Training Association finds sponsor: W L Gore and Associates (UK) Limited have announced a 2,000 [pounds sterling] sponsorship with the Fire Service Youth Training Association that will establish a bursary to support the work of the FSYTA and its development of young people across the UK.(Protecting The Firefighter)

Announcing the sponsorship, Tim Wight, Sales Associate at Gore for the UK Fire Service, commented: "We were keen to support the important work of the FSYTA in bringing on future generations of potential firefighters and this sponsorship is an excellent way for Gore to encourage the continued development of people in the Fire Service."

Geoff Breeden, National Officer for FSYTA, said: "This support from Gore is invaluable and will enable more young people to experience adventurous activities. By having a bursary fund we will be able to direct these resources towards those who have the greatest need and will therefore gain the greatest benefit. The FSYTA sees this as the starting point for an ongoing bursary scheme which can develop over the coming years. …
