First UK fire museum seminar.

The country's first ever conference for Fire Service museums, archives and similar interest groups took place in Rochdale last month and could be described as a "historic" event in every sense. Hosted by the Greater Manchaster Fire Service Museum and chaired by its officer-in-charge, Divisional Officer Bob Bonner, the seminar was attended by 33 delegates from 16 organisations. FIRE columnist Michael Kernan spoke on the implications of public record-keeping and his experiences as Fire Service College archivist. …
