At Grampian Fire Brigade we have recently invested in a new financial management system that will meet our diverse needs and help us incorporate the Scottish Executives' E-Government agenda.

The process of identifying the best solution and examining the options has been one that has highlighted the impact of new technology and the importance of effective integration.

It was clear that our new financial management system would need to integrate with the brigade's overall IT strategy and allow us to email suppliers, choose and pick lists electronically, link into purchasing cards and pay suppliers by BACS.
