Central Scotland Fire Brigade. (People).(Brief Article)

Central Scotland Fire Brigade has recently witnessed the retirement of one of their own, and the UK Fire Services, longest serving officers. DO James Hann, the brigade's Senior Fire Safety Officer retired on May 15, 2003 having completed exactly 39 years employment in the Fire Service.

Having joined in 1964, he had successfully passed all of the statutory examinations by 1969, and soon after commenced progression through the ranks. He moved into the field of fire Safety in 1976 and was promoted to his current role of Senior Fire Safety Officer in 1995.

During his career, James attended numerous courses at the Fire Service College, and on may occasions achieved passes with distinction or excellence. …
