Fire sector recognised in Queen's Birthday Honours. (Comment).

Fire Service personnel and colleagues from partner agencies such as emergency planning, flood defence etc were well represented in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, the highest award going to Clive Norris, Director, Fire, Health and Safety at the ODPM, who received a CBE. The Service did particularly well for MBEs with the retained, communications and procurement personnel all recognised. Several QFSMs were also awarded to senior fire officers, two retired.
