Manufacturing: Metal and Metal Products
The metal and metal products group includes establishments engaged in smelting and refining ferrous and nonferrous metals from ore, pig, or scrap; in rolling, drawing, and alloying metals; in manufacturing castings and other basic metal products; and in manufacturing nails, spikes, and insulated wire and cable. It also includes those engaged in fabricating ferrous and nonferrous metal products like metal cans, tinware, handtools, cutlery, general hardware, nonelectric heating apparatus, fabricated structural metal products, metal forgings, metal stampings, ordnance (excluding vehicles and guided missiles), and a variety of metal and wire products that are not classified elsewhere.
